STRENGTHENING PARTNERSHIPS THROUGH TRAIN TO GAIN
Carole Reid, Chief Executive of Yorkshire and Humberside Assessment Limited and Margaret Coleman, Regional Director for the LSC in Yorkshire and the Humber signing the protocol at the LSC regional office in Bradford. The first Train to Gain protocol for Investors in People has been signed in Yorkshire and the Humber along with a contract to deliver targeted support to small companies. This signals a strengthening of the commitment to deliver Investors in People and Train to Gain from both the LSC and the Investors in People Regional Quality Centre, Yorkshire and Humberside Assessment Limited. The protocol sets out the relationship and responsibilities between Yorkshire and Humberside Assessment Ltd and brokers within Yorkshire and the Humber in the delivery of Train to Gain. To ensure employers get the best service, Train to Gain brokers are being trained in Investors in People and vice versa. This will enable both services to signpost the employer to the best possible solution. By working together, it is hoped that Train to Gain and Investors in People will both be strengthened, while providing a more comprehensive solution to employers. Train to Gain is a new way of working with employers which offers them access to a full range of solutions to meet their skills needs through an independent and impartial brokerage system.
